- Reservations
- How do I make a reservation?
- Please visit the Contact Us section or go directly to the Reservations section of our web page to obtain further information. You can call us from the USA/Canada at 1-310-455-6085. We will take your credit card information over the phone. Our office hours are 12.00 pm-6.00 pm, Monday-Friday. We are in the Central Time Zone.
- Is a deposit required to secure my reservation?
- Please go directly to the Reservations section of our web page to obtain further information regarding deposits and our cancellation policy.
- Are there other methods of payment?
- You can pay via credit card, direct deposit, wire transfer or Pay Pal. Direct deposit, wire transfer, or Pay Pal information can be provided upon request.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- Please go directly to the Reservations section of our Terms and Conditions web page to obtain further information regarding deposits and our cancellation policy.
- What is your weekly and/or monthly suite rate?
- Please visit the Reservations section of our web page for our rental rates.
- What do your suite prices include?
- Please visit the Rental Suites section of our web page to view a list of amenities included in our rates.
- Do you have a minimum number of nights required?
- Casa Murguia has a one week minimum stay for all reservations.
- What is your check-in/check-out time?
- Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. Luggage can be securely held at Casa Murguia prior to check-in or after check-out according to your travel schedule.
- Do you have parking at Casa Murguia?
- On-street parking is available.
- Do you allow pets?
- We are unable to accommodate pets at this time.
- Do you allow smoking?
- Smoking is not allowed inside the suites.
- What is your peak season?
- We suggest booking well in advance for Christmas, New Year's, Easter vacation and Day of the Dead (Oct 31 -Nov 02).
- Do you have any large suites for families?
- We can accommodate families or small groups by renting both suites. See the Rental Suites section of our web page for a description of our suites.
- Do you have handicap access?
- Casa Murguia is handicap accessible to both rental suites and common facilities.

- Transportation
- How do I get to Casa Murguia?
- Casa Murguia is located in the historic center of Oaxaca and transportation is easily available from the airport. Local taxis and airport shuttles are available outside of the airport baggage claim area.
- Do you offer transportation to various locations in and around Oaxaca?
- Please visit Casa Sagrada Vacation Retreat in Teotitlan which can provide you with taxis, vans, cultural guides and regional tours within the Oaxaca valley to suit your travel & touring needs.
- Should I rent a car?
- Oaxaca has a very good and inexpensive transportation system. We can recommend buses, taxis or local van transport to get around Oaxaca.
- Is Casa Murguia within walking distance to the city center?
- Casa Murguia is located in the heart of Oaxaca’s Historic Center , just a 5-minute walk from the Zocalo and Santo Domingo. Upon reserving your suite at Casa Murguia, you will receive a detailed map & arrival information in your Welcome Packet.

- How do I get to Oaxaca?
- Mexicana, Aeromexico, Aviacsa, & Continental Airlines all provide flights to Oaxaca. Same-day connections between Oaxaca and some US/Canadian cities are available through Mexico City. Please visit the airline web pages for flight information.
- Can I get to the beach from the city of Oaxaca?
- The coast of Oaxaca is approximately a 6-hour drive or a 1-hour flight from the city.
- Is customs a problem?
- You can take back most of the items that you purchase in Oaxaca. The main restriction is on plant and seed material.
- Do I need shots prior to arrival in Oaxaca?
- We suggest that you consult with your physician prior to arrival in Mexico or log onto the Center for Disease Control web site for current travel & medical information.

- How do I pay for additional activities or services when I am at Casa Murguia?
- All additional activities, services, tours, & purchases must be paid in cash (pesos, dollars, or traveler‘s checks). Credit card payments can be made at La Mano Magica for store purchases or tours/activities held at Casa Sagrada.
- Do you have any special events or retreats throughout the year?
- We host a number of special events and retreats at Casa Sagrada in Teotitlan del Valle. Please visit the Retreats & Vacations section of the web page for Casa Sagrada for our current listings.
- What is the weather like in Oaxaca?
- Oaxaca has a dry, temperate year-round climate. We have warm sunny days with cooler nights. Fahrenheit temperatures range from the 80's in the day to the 50's - 60's at night.

- Are there telephones at Casa Murguia?
- A local-use only cell phone will be available during your stay. Phone cards can be purchased locally at various outlets. A refundable $50 US dollar deposit will be charged for the use of the cell phone.
- Do international cell phones work at Casa Murguia?
- Some of our guests have had success with using their international cell phones at Casa Murguia; however, it depends upon your plan and your provider.
- Is there Internet service at Casa Murguia?
- Wireless internet service is available for your use. Laptops and roaming charges are the responsibility of the guest.
- Is there television access at Casa Murguia?
- Local and cable television is available for your use.
- Do you have an emergency contact number that I can leave with my family?

- What to Bring
- What type of clothes, etc. should I bring to Casa Murguia?
- We suggest comfortable & casual, layered clothing, sturdy walking or tennis shoes, sandals, and a light jacket, shawl or sweater for evenings. Other items to bring: sun hat, sun screen, camera, medications, yoga/swimming clothing, toiletries, identification, passport, Spanish phrase book, cash machine card and/or credit card.
- Are bed linens and towels provided at Casa Murguia?
- Bed linens and pool, bath, & kitchen towels are available in the suites.
- Should I bring an extra suitcase?
- Many of our guests bring an extra bag to take home all of the wonderful arts & crafts of Oaxaca.
- Is laundry service provided at Casa Murguia?
- We provide laundry service for our guests at an additional fee.
